Kiwi Tax Plan: first $30,000 tax-free
What it actually does
The first $30,000 of income would be tax-free, which the party says would mean 97% of people pay less income tax, with an extra food-cost tax credit for those earning $60,000 or less. It would be funded by higher taxes on wealth, corporations, offshore profit transfers, vacant property and land banking.
